I See Your Face

Silence in my bedroom
awake in my bed,
can't get your body
out of my head
and I hear you call my name
it's like a file that I cannot erase
cause every time I close my eyes
I see your face

stumble to the kitchen
for a midnight snack
40oz of beverage
and some nachos
and I sit at the table,
and pray for grace
but every time I close my eyes
I see your face

Some people like happiness, some people like peace,
Some people like all the beautiful things of the world to be at their feet
some people like kittens and trees
and flowers and bees
and little children eating ice cream in the warm summer breeze
but not me, I like to suffer
not me, I like to bleed
I live my live on a razor, so your're like everything I need
and I will give my earthly body to the sky before I
break away from your sweet greed

I try to do some yoga
maybe, like, ease my mind.
but right in the middle of supta baddha khonasana I remember what I left behind
and you know I run in to the bedroom so I can get another taste
but every time I close my eyes, I see your face

yes every time I close my eyes,

I see your face
