I offer affordable guitar lessons to beginner and intermediate students of all ages in Alameda, Oakland, or Berkeley.
I am a self-taught guitarist who has been playing for 12 years. I have 7 years experience teaching math, literacy, music, computers, history, english, and GED prep to students ranging in age from middle school to retirees. I absolutely LOVE helping people discover music, and receiving the same joy from it that I do! I am patient, fun, and a good listener, and I believe in letting the student's creativity guide the technique, not the other way around.
I am comfortable with Blues, Rock, and Folk styles-acoustic and electric. You tell me what you want to learn, and I'll tell you if I can help you. I am available evenings and weekends. I live in Alameda, but would prefer to travel, since our house is often under seige by a very loud and energetic two-year-old!
