As audiences increasingly engage with audiobooks and streaming, literary podcasts are a vital and growing space for writing communities. Many new shows blend literature, music, criticism, and sound design, moving beyond standard author interviews to create a hybrid audio form.

Some questions we’ll consider: How can sound amplify the written word? How do we elevate voices through this evolving medium? What do audiences want to hear? What are the creative possibilities of the form?

We’ll also explore the creative and logistical aspects of partnering with media outlets, literary publishers, and university-based literary journals.

This conversation dives into a medium rapidly outpacing print, asking: Why podcasting? Why now? What does the future of literary podcasting hold? And what new possibilities emerge in the space between text and sound?
